Alibaba Planning on Cold-Chain Logistics with New Solution from Jiangsu Trailer Leasing
With Qingdao in a lush green summer, CIMC Vehicles (Group) Co., Ltd. and Alibaba (China) Co., Ltd. will jointly launch a business model of “sharing cold-chain logistics.” On April 27, 2018, Jiangsu Trailer Leasing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Jiangsu Trailer Leasing), a holding subsidiary of CIMC Vehicles (Group), officially entered into cooperation with Shanghai Xianjia Logistics Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Xianjia), a holding subsidiary of Alibaba?Group?Services Limited, and held a ceremony for delivering the first batch of Hongxue reefer semi-trailers. Wang Xiaoyi, General Manager of Qingdao CIMC Reefer Trailer Co., Ltd., attended the ceremony upon invitation.
Xianjia is a cold-chain logistics company for transporting fresh food across China. The brand “CCFresh” under the company will build 50 large and medium-sized dedicated cold-chain warehouses for storing fresh food around China with 100 trunk routes for transporting, 1000 branch routes and short distance transmission routes planned. Various import and export port resources will be integrated and a cold-chain network covering the entire country and a dedicated cold-chain operation platform will be created through teaming up with e-commerce companies that supply fresh food within China.

?Wang Jian, Vice President of Xianjia, said that CIMC Vehicles (Group) can offer products with state-of-the-art technology and trustworthy quality and “We are very happy to see the rapid progress of this cooperation. We are not offering them ordinary reefer trailers that you can see everywhere on the market but the ones that combine innovation and wisdom of various sister companies such as Qingdao CIMC Reefer Trailer and that enjoy advantages over similar products on the market in terms of type selection, materials, design, manufacturing, and smart technologies. Compared to the conventional cold-chain transporting equipment, all the trailers we delivered have a smart trailer management system as a standard configuration which can track the location of the trailers in real time and independently set the upper and lower datum lines of temperature and the alarm threshold, thus a transparent management of fresh food transportation is realized through “a new technological trick.” Next, we are looking forward to working with more companies which have the intention to engage in or expand in the cold-chain logistics industry to develop resources for cooperation, realize growth on both domestic and international markets, drive forward the healthy development of the cold-chain equipment sector, and enable the “sharing of cold-chain logistics” model to create new marketability value.
