Navigating through Cycle-Crossing, the Effects of CIMC Vehicles' "Star-chained Manufacturing Network" Become Apparent
The "Star-chained Manufacturing Network" is an innovative attempt by CIMC Vehicles to build new quality productive forces. By integrating resources from seven domestic semi-trailer factories, it aims to achieve significant improvements in profitability through high production efficiency, short delivery times, and strong brand marketing. This initiative not only focuses on product research and development and production but also includes optimization and integration across various aspects such as supply chain management, logistics distribution, and customer service.
As CIMC Vehicles CEO Li Guiping stated at the 65th Shenzhen Businessman Empowerment Forum, the "Star-chained Manufacturing Network" can both mitigate involution and support complex intercontinental operations. It is reshaping the business model and organizational structure of semi-trailer production and sales according to the standards of new quality productive forces, which helps reduce the trial-and-error costs associated with overseas semi-trailer operations.
Since the full implementation of the "Star-chained Manufacturing Network" in 2024, the initial effects have already begun to manifest, creating a chain reaction. In Q3 of this year, the sales of the Starchained Light Tower Pioneer Group increased by 20.14% against the trend, with revenue rising by 21.18% year-on-year and a significant improvement in gross margin. In the first half of this year, among the main model categories of the "Star-chained Manufacturing Network," the sales of CIMC Vehicles' flatbed trailers and relevant derivative types in the Chinese market grew by over 50% year-on-year, significantly increasing market share. The company maintains a 14.12% market share in China's semi-trailer market, holding the leading position.
