Recently, the authoritative global magazine Global Trailer released its 2024 ranking of global semi-trailer manufacturers by production volume. CIMC Vehicles (Group) Co. Ltd. ("CIMC Vehicles" or the "Company") topped the list with an output of nearly 106,200 units, significantly outpacing other companies in the industry and achieving the global championship in semi-trailer manufacturing for twelve consecutive years. In this ranking, CIMC Vehicles' North American business, Vanguard Global, achieved an output of nearly 23,500 units, ranking eleventh globally and sixth in the North American market, further demonstrating the Company's advantages in intercontinental operations.
In the first half of 2024, CIMC Vehicles "Starchained Manufacturing Network" began to show results, achieving a breakthrough in its interim report against the trend. The Star-chained Light Tower Pioneer Group drove a 24.67% increase in sales of its main models through market integration, product upgrades, and optimized order management. Notably, in the domestic market, sales of flatbed trailers and their derivative series surged by over 50%, resulting in a significant leap?in market share. In the first half of the year, the company's domestic market revenue reached RMB 4.398 billion, accounting for 41.1% of total revenue, becoming a new engine of growth.
Guided by the "Intercontinental Operation, Local Manufacturing" strategy, CIMC Vehicles' overseas market continued to perform impressively, demonstrating strong operational resilience. In the first half of 2024, the North American business achieved revenue of RMB 3.684 billion through optimized global supply chain management and localized manufacturing, facilitating product modular upgrades and optimizing delivery cycles. In Europe and other markets, the Australian business saw robust growth, while the UK’s SDC and Belgium’s LAG also performed well, collectively achieving revenue of RMB 1.514 billion. SDC maintained its leading market share in the UK, while LAG continued to hold a dominant position in the European tank trailer market.
